10 Things to Always Travel With

Before making trips, we tend to spend a lot of time packing our bags but end up forgetting the most important requirements for the trip. It can be destabilizing for one to arrive at their destination and realize that they do not have that one thing they need.

After so many surveys, we have put together this list of ten things to always leave home with when traveling. They are:

1. GOOD TRAVEL BAGS: In our opinion, an all-purpose suitcase is a perfect option. Suitcases that hold up well on long trips and have compartments for shoes and clothing. Avoid plastic suitcases as they may break when packed with too many luggage or while being loaded on or off the plane. The wheels may break off while rolling them.

2. A BACKPACK: this can be used as a carry-on on the plane and are handy during day out exploring. It should be one that can easily be slipped over on your luggage, so you don’t have to carry it on your back while walking through the airport (which is probably when it is at its heaviest).

3. A GOOD PAIR OF WALKING SHOES: You definitely do not want to fill your luggage with shoes you are never going to wear. A comfortable fancy shoe should be packed for easy movement during your tour/vacation.

4. SNACKS: Do not leave without your snacks. As funny as that sounds, the last thing you want to worry about while traveling is getting hungry. You can pack some freshly dried fruits, biscuits, nuts, Kuli- Kuli (for my Nigerian brothers/sisters) etc.

5. SWEATERS: Having/packing at least two neutral sweaters that goes with literally anything you wear is not a bad idea. Get a sweater, it does not matter destination, just pack a sweater.

6. REUSABLE WATER BOTTLE: Staying hydrated is very imperative when traveling and it’s also cheaper to bring and fill up your own water bottle every time, you’re thirsty. Plus, it’s also a good way to reduce plastic use.

7. FACE MASK: traveling can be so hard on the skin, so always take along with you a good face mask. It helps the skin to hydrate, removes toxins and prevent you from contracting any airborne or communicable disease.

8. POTABLE PHONE AND LAPTOP CHARGER: Never get stuck with a dead phone while traveling, always pack a potable charger to avoid the heart break that comes with a dead phone/laptop battery.

9. VITAMINS:  Because it’s so easy to get sick while traveling, we should always make sure to bring some vitamins and herbs supplements with us so as to stay healthy.

10. CAMERA AND DIARY: To document and relive the experience, we need a dairy and a camera or a good phone with a high definition camera.

Never leave anything to chance.
